The Band Department at Manatee High School offers three concert bands, two jazz ensembles, advanced percussion class, and the 150 member Marching 'Canes! Auditions for the band and jazz ensemble classes are held in the spring for returning students. Incoming freshmen will be placed in "Concert Band," our entry level band, for the first term. Students may reaudition at the end of the first term for advanced band placement. Incoming freshmen may also participate in jazz band if they wish.
Any student enrolled in band at Manatee High School is eligible for participation in the Marching 'Canes.
